Profile
Research activities at the School of Electrical, Information and Media Engineering cover the entire spectrum from materials development, components and systems to software. The new "Smart Materials and Systems" degree course with a Master of Science degree covers this broad research focus.
Students on the course learn a broad spectrum of advanced methods in materials science, electronic and photonic components and their systems and associated software. In addition, scientific skills in microelectronics, materials science and relevant analysis methods are taught. There are three specializations to choose from in order to acquire detailed knowledge in these areas.
The course is taught in English, as there is an international network of collaborative projects in the field of research. This also makes the course interesting for students from abroad.
