Information on the German language certificate

Prospective students with foreign university entrance qualification and who would like to enrol in a German-language degree programme have to provide proof of sufficient German language skills before enrolling into the respective degree programme.

The enrolment into a degree programme requires the German Language Test for University Admission (DSH) at least at level DSH-2. If a student took the DSH examination at another university, DSH certificate will be accepted if the respective university’s DSH examination regulations are registered at the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK). (http://www.hrk.de/mitglieder/arbeitsmaterialien/ registrierung- von-dsh-pruefungsordnungen (in German available only).

Admission to the respective degree programme and proof of German language skills at least at level C1 of the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages” (CFL) is a prerequisite for admission to the DSH examination at the University of Wuppertal.
