Kick-off "Toolbox equal opportunities"
New digital platform supports equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory behaviour in everyday university life
The "Toolbox Chancengerechtigkeit" is being created as a digital contact point for quality-assured information, materials and tools relating to diversity, inclusion and equality. The aim is to provide practical tools for everyday university life that encourage reflection and open up concrete opportunities for action. Digital self-study programmes, practical templates, examples of good practice and suggestions for discrimination-sensitive teaching and examination formats and reflective team and work structures are planned.
Digital platform for more orientation and confidence in action
By preparing existing knowledge in an accessible and practical way, the toolbox can help to support different areas of the university in everyday life - especially where questions or sensitive situations arise, for example in teaching, in selection and appointment procedures, in team communication, in advisory contexts or in committee work.
The kick-off event marks the public launch of the project and offers insights into the concept, objectives and initial content of the platform. At the same time, the event makes it possible to contribute perspectives and participate in the further development of the platform. The focus is on the question of which topics and formats can be particularly helpful in studies, teaching, research and administration and how the toolbox can be designed to provide effective support in everyday life. The project is designed to be participatory and is to be further developed based on the experiences, perspectives and needs of people at the university.
Get to know the toolbox and help shape it
Following the presentation, a world café format - a creative and dialogue-oriented workshop method - invites you to get to know the prototype, share your impressions and think together about ideas for further development.
The event is aimed at anyone who is interested in contributing perspectives and experiences to the further development of the toolbox - be it through expert knowledge, materials, good practices, feedback or ideas from everyday work and study life. We welcome students, lecturers, technical and administrative staff, advisors, members of committees and commissions, managers, team leaders and anyone at BUW who is interested in or involved in issues of equal opportunities, diversity and anti-discrimination.
