Welcome Day on Wednesday 08 April 2026
Are you about to start your Bachelor's, Master's or state examination studies at the University of Wuppertal (BUW)? Then the International Office is the right place for you!
At the Welcome Days for international students, you will receive lots of tips and information about living and studying in Wuppertal, get an initial overview of our services for (international) students, get to know other students and discover Wuppertal and the university together.
The event take place
on Wednesday, 08.04.2026 starting 10 a.m.
Location: Lecture Hall 32 (K.11.23)
Procedure of the event:
Start 10 a.m.:
Official welcome by the Vice-Rector Third Mission and International Affairs Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Gust
- Short presentation of the University of Wuppertal / Overview of service facilities and offers
- Presentation of the counselling and workshop offers of the Central Student Advisory Service (Zentrale Studienberatung ZSB)
- Presentation of the International Office and its offers
- Presentation of the International Students Team (I.S.T.)
- Presentation of the offers of the Language Learning Institute (Sprachlehrinstitut SLI)
- Presentation of the Student Health Centers
- You will receive your welcome gift (Welcome Bag with great and useful contents)
Afterwards you will have the opportunity to ask questions.
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.:
- Introductions and open discussion with experienced students from various faculties.
- Registration for planned activities.
From 1 p.m.:
The International Office cordially invites you to join us for lunch in the cafeteria (free of charge).
This will be followed by a campus tour in English.
No registration is required, just drop by.
