Degree programmes taught in English

In response to the growing demands of globalization the University of Wuppertal offers a number of degree programmes taught in English. Please note, however, that knowledge of German is still indispensable for the acquisition of intercultural competence and for everyday life in Germany. The University of Wuppertal offers parallel courses in German free of charge for international students on degree programmes taught in English. You can find an overview of the German courses on offer in the download area on the right.

The following degree programmes taught in English are currently available at the University of Wuppertal:

• Master's programme in Computer Simulation in Science (CSIS)
• Master's programme in Applied Economics and International Economic Policy

Applicants with foreign educational certificates submit their application documents to the university via the uni-assist service point. You can find more information about the application here.

German language courses

International students should note that a knowledge of German is nevertheless essential for acquiring intercultural competence and living in Germany. The Language Teaching Institute (SLI) of the Bergische Universität offers free of charge, study-accompanying "Abenddeutschkurse" (evening German courses) as well as Study-integrated German courses for international students in English-language degree programmes.
