Studies with degree
You would like to study at Bergische Universität Wuppertal and obtain a degree.
If you have acquired your eligibility (e.g. Lise Diplomasi, Baccalaureat, Attestat) to study at Bergische Universität abroad, i.e. if you do not have a German university entrance qualification (German Abitur, German university degree, etc.), apply to study/German language course at Bergische Universität via the Working and service point for international student applications "uni-assist" (detailed application information can be found in the Download Center).
If you have a German Abitur but completed your Bachelor's degree abroad, you must also apply for a Master's degree programme via uni-assist.
For the summer semester: 15.11.-15.01.
For the winter semester: 15.05.-15.07.
Please note that there are other deadlines and procedures for some degree programmes!
Exceptions to the uni-assist application procedure:
- Applications for the Bachelor's degree programme in Industrial Design and for the Master's degree programmes in Architecture, Strategic Product and Innovation Development, and Public Interest Design.
- Application as a university transfer student in the same Bachelor's degree programme
- Application as a scholarship holder from a German organisation for a maximum of two semesters without a degree
Detailed application information and the application for admission to the degree programme can be found in the "Download Center".
International applicants who have already completed a Bachelor's degree in Germany and are interested in a Master's degree programme should apply directly to the relevant Master's examination board and then to the International Student Secretariat at Bergische Universität. You can find the application for admission to the degree programme in the Download Center.
We have switched to a purely online application process via uni-assist as of the winter semester 2021/22 and does not require officially certified copies for the application. Certificates, together with all required documents, only need to be uploaded via the uni-assist application portal. Copies of the certificates (if possible officially certified by then) must be submitted at the latest at the time of enrollment.
This does not apply to the cases mentioned in the paragraph "Exceptions to the uni-assist application procedure" and if official copies were requested on your admission notice.
