Dr Benjamin Limbach studied law at the University of Bonn and completed his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Bonn from 1997 to 1999. After working as a judge at the Administrative Court of Cologne, he took on management tasks in the Ministry of Justice of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2003, was Director of the North Rhine-Westphalia University of Applied Sciences for the Administration of Justice - now the NRW University of Justice - and Head of the NRW Justice Training Centre from 2014 to 2020 and President of the Federal University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration from 2020. He has been Minister of Justice of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia since June 2022.
