Whether energy supply, AI training or e-mobility - at the University of Wuppertal, scientists are researching the major challenges that lie on the path to a future worth living. At the Night of Technology, visitors not only have the opportunity to engage in dialogue about these topics, but also to experience and touch research.
This is ensured, for example, by the guided tours through the high-voltage laboratory, the exhibition of the first electric racing car of the University of Wuppertal's Formula Student Team Green Lion Racing or the view of Argentina through VR glasses, where the university is involved in the search for the highest-energy particles in the universe. Students and lecturers from the Industrial Design degree programme work live on designs in the materials laboratory and visitors can see, question and experience how ideas become concrete product concepts. There are many other stations to discover.
Technology night expo and shuttle hub
The University of Wuppertal is also hosting the Technology Night Expo, where the Wuppertal Fire Brigade, the Wuppertal Technical Relief Organisation and Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe will be exhibiting alongside Beckhoff Automation and Janich & Klass Computertechnik.
The Night of Technology will take place at the University of Wuppertal in Building K and on the forecourt of Buildings V and W. The university will also serve as a shuttle hub for all other stations in Wuppertal: participating companies and organisations in the city will be approached directly from here. Free parking is available in the multi-storey car park PB, Max-Horkheimer-Straße.
