Summer is just around the corner – and with it comes one of the highlights of campus life: on 8 July 2026, the fourth Campus Summer Festival will take place on the Grifflenberg campus. Between 4 pm and 10 pm, the area around the library courtyard and the spaces in front of Building B and ME.05 will once again be transformed into a lively festival venue.

Organised by student councils, student initiatives and the AStA, visitors can look forward to a varied programme featuring cultural, sporting and creative activities. Whether it’s hands-on activities, games or simply a relaxed get-together – the summer festival offers a varied experience for everyone.

New highlight: collaboration with the UniSport Campus Festival

For the first time, the 2026 Campus Summer Festival will be complemented by the UniSport Campus Festival. Numerous sporting challenges and interactive activities invite you to get active and experience the campus in motion.

The warm-up begins at 12 noon with the Departmental Olympics in front of Building I. Teams from various departments across the university will compete against each other in entertaining disciplines, ensuring exciting contests and a rousing atmosphere.

Stage programme, awards and community engagement

On the open-air stage, guests can look forward to a varied music programme featuring live acts from the student body. The stage will also provide the festive setting for several award ceremonies: the Sustainability Prize, the ‘Lehrlöwe’ award and the honours for top athletes.

The Green Campus Forum is also part of the summer festival once again and, with a wide range of activities, invites visitors to engage with sustainability and environmental awareness.

A joint finale with a party

This year, the day will draw to a close with a big party organised by the U-Club. With the sunset on the terraces and music in the dining hall, the summer festival will come to an end in a relaxed yet lively atmosphere.
