With the NextGen field of activity, the BUW bundles its diverse initiatives for future-orientated learning and positions itself as an innovative designer of new forms of teaching, learning and knowledge transfer. The guiding vision is to further develop learning and teaching in a sustainable, networked, digital and diversity-sensitive way, thereby providing impetus for a sustainable educational landscape.
The field of activity provides a common umbrella for the BUW's numerous existing forums, work areas and institutions that deal with learning, teaching and knowledge transfer. The aim is to network existing expertise, make synergies visible and initiate innovative research and development projects.
The speakers of the NextGen field of activity, Prof. Dr Claudia Bohrmann-Linde, Prof. Dr Marei Fetzer, Prof. Dr Miriam Kuckuck and Prof. Dr Elke Söbbeke, organised the research lunch as a prelude to new exchange and participation formats within NextGen. Over warming soup, numerous researchers took the opportunity in the Bergisches Zimmer to talk to each other, share research focuses and explore potential collaborations. The participants share a common interest in future-oriented learning processes - from daycare centres to schools, universities and professional practice.
The great interest in the first research lunch impressively demonstrates the potential of this field of activity: bringing together interdisciplinary perspectives, creating new networks and providing innovative impetus for research at the university of Wuppertal
