In order to find your way around a new university, it is particularly important to make new contacts, get to know people and settle into the university location.

At the University of Wuppertal a buddy system has been established that allows indivdual support at eye level. Experienced students of our university meet up with international students in order to provide comprehensive insights into your courses and your life at the University of Wuppertal. 

This means students can make friends, can raise their awareness for cultural issues and can mutually improve their own language skills. 

Our  buddies are specially trained beforehand and will be your personal contact points.

As a new student, you will receive support from experienced students with general questions about academic life, student life and settling into a new social environment.

As a buddy, you will support international students, gain valuable intercultural experience, and engage in voluntary work – including a certificate recognising your contribution.
