In the kick-off session, we welcome all participants and provide an initial overview of the many opportunities to organise a stay abroad. Whether it's a study programme, internship or short stay - we will show you which paths are open and how to take the first step. Let yourself be inspired and discover which option best suits your personal and academic goals!

In this session, you will gain exciting insights into the school internships at Faculty 1 and the Zambia programme at the University of Wuppertal. Find out how an internship abroad works in a school context, what intercultural experiences await you and how you can best prepare yourself. An ideal opportunity to get to know specific programmes and clarify questions directly!

Speaker: Professor Carmen Ulrich, Head of International Affairs and Quality Assurance Faculty 1

This session will feature a short presentation introducing the L-GrIn project in the context of the internationalisation of teacher education. The presentation will provide insights into the project’s experiences to date and demonstrate how international perspectives can be integrated into teacher education. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion afterwards.

Speakers: Ms. Jule Lorleberg

In this discussion round, returnees talk about their personal experiences abroad and provide authentic insights into their studies, internships and everyday life. In addition to positive impressions, challenges will also be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and benefit from practical tips for their own planning.

Speakers: Former outgoing students (stays abroad in France, Turkey, Slovenia and the USA)

This session highlights the importance of international experience for professional careers. Alumni and practice representatives will provide insights into their individual career paths and show how stays abroad have shaped their professional development.

Speakers: Nataliia Slyvkanych, Technical University of Košice, Slovakia

This session will present opportunities for graduate internships abroad. Participants will receive an overview of the Erasmus+ programme and the application process for internships after graduation.

International Day 2024

On 20 November 2024, a successful International Day took place in the foyer of Building K for the first time since 2019, where students were able to find out about the possibilities of a study-related stay abroad. On this day, more than 200 individual counselling sessions took place at 16 stands. Further information can be found in our News.
