Important note: new call for BUW teaching innovations founding line
Not only ecclesia but also disciplina semper reformanda. It is therefore a natural concern of the University of Wuppertal to continuously develop the quality of its degree programmes and to promote innovation in teaching. The Leitbild Lehre and the guidelines of our university's development plan form both the content-related basis and the organisational framework for this.
Of course, great motivation and forward-looking ideas also require resources in order to be realised and tested (at least as prototypes). The BUW therefore provides its teaching staff with three recurring funding lines as part of the "Lehr-Innovationsfonds" in order to develop and test innovations on issues relevant to the location and to evaluate their effectiveness.
It is therefore worth noting the following data:
The competitive procedure for the central funding line "BUW Lehr Innovationen" (funding period 15 March 2027 - 14 March 2029) will start in a few weeks. Anyone wishing to participate should submit a corresponding expression of interest via LimeSurvey from 13 to 24 April 2026 through the hands of Department 6.3 to the Vice-Rector Teaching and Learning:

Incidentally, even rookie applicants should not shy away from pursuing innovative ideas. As in the previous application rounds, department 6.3 offers support in reflecting on application ideas.
