The Bergisch city-triangle offers a wealth of information on career guidance for young people. Numerous institutions are involved in this area. In practice, however, it is clear that many young people are difficult to reach and their willingness to cooperate and take the initiative is often less than hoped for. The event "What do young people really need for career orientation?" at the University of Wuppertal aims to identify areas for improvement in order to provide young people with even better and more customised information in future. The event will take place on Thursday, 30 October, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the University of Wuppertal, Building K, Lecture Hall 32, Gaußstraße 20, 42119 Wuppertal.

How do you reach young people on the subject of career guidance? These and other questions are the focus of the joint event organised by the Bergisch Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Bergisch University and the Wuppertal Municipal Coordination Office // Photo Colourbox

The event is based on two student surveys, the results of which will be presented. The surveys were conducted by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Wuppertal, the University of Wuppertal and the Wuppertal Municipal Coordination Centre. The event will be attended by IHK President Henner Pasch, University Rector Prof Dr Birgitta Wolff, Eva Platz, Director of Wuppertal Economic Development, and City Director Matthias Nocke, among others.

Employees of training companies, teachers and administrative staff involved in vocational training are cordially invited to take part in the event and work together to optimise career guidance.
