The award was presented at a ceremony on 25 November under the dome of the Palais de l'Institut de France in Paris. Each year, the ceremony brings together leading figures from research, scientific organisations and public and private partners to honour significant contributions to science and innovation. More than forty winners from a wide range of disciplines - from mathematics and biology to the history of science - were honoured this year.
