Botanist Prof. Dr Gertrud Lohaus, initiator of the university arboretum, and Dr Christine Hummel, head of central student guidance and counselling services, accompany visitors on the approximately 1000-metre-long tree trail around the buildings of the University of Wuppertal.

Gertrud Lohaus will talk about the botanical characteristics of the various tree species. At the same time, German scholar Christine Hummel will guide visitors through the extensive natural history work of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: from early nature poetry to the search for the original plant.

The event is a co-operation with the Goethe-Gesellschaft Wuppertal. Registration is not required. The meeting point is the entrance to the University Library on the Grifflenberg campus, Gaußstraße 20.
