Mathematics: International Master's programme enters its second round

The application phase for the second year of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree Programme "MATHS-DISC" is officially open. MATHS-DISC is a top-class, internationally oriented Master's programme that prepares students specifically for the digital, industrial and social challenges of the future. The focus is on mathematical modelling, numerical simulation, optimisation, data science and artificial intelligence in data-intensive fields of application. The programme starts at the University of Wuppertal in the winter semester 2026/27.

Attractive funding opportunities

Extensive funding opportunities are available for particularly qualified applicants:

  • 18 fully funded Erasmus Mundus scholarships totalling 1,400 euros per month over a period of 24 months
  • Tuition fee waiver for the ten best-placed candidates without a scholarship
  • Further support programmes, including regional scholarships, travel grants and student part-time jobs

Individual study paths and international mobility

The programme comprises eight specialisation paths in key future fields of digital and ecological transformation. After the first semester, students choose their specialisation and the partner university for the third and fourth semesters. The MATHS DISC committee closely supervises the individual course of study.

A strong network of 19 industry and research partners enables practical projects and international internships.

  • Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (ISKPI), Ukraine
