How do we master the challenges of our time? By focussing together on the opportunities to solve them. With "BUWissen", the University of Wuppertal (BUW) wants to initiate a dialogue: On behalf of the rectorate, the new newsletter, which will be published for the first time on 8 October, provides insights into knowledge gained by people for people.

"BUWissen" is initially published once a semester. The newsletter provides insights into the range of research activities at BUW and the constructive collaboration between BUW researchers and their partners as contributions to shaping the future. The first issue deals with wireless charging technologies, women in the start-up scene, IT security and the 15-minute city, among other topics.

"Whether you are an entrepreneur, journalist, researcher or have another background - let's talk about solutions," says University Rector Prof Dr Birgitta Wolff, inviting you not only to subscribe to the newsletter, but also to get in touch with the university.

With BUWissen, the editorial team from University Communications and UniService Third Mission, led by Corinna Dönges and Christina Semke, offers impulses for topics where the university can provide support. "Anyone who has similar questions or would like to find out more about our research, collaborations or transfer activities can contact us at any time," emphasises Christina Semke, Head of UniService Third Mission. Corinna Dönges, Acting Head of University Communications, explains: "Anyone who has questions for our researchers and is looking for experts is also in the right place. We provide contacts to get into dialogue."
