DAAD VORsprung - A digital head start for Engineering and Science studies in Germany
VORsprung is a free digital programme designed to prepare international prospective students for studying STEM subjects (e.g. computer science, engineering and natural sciences) at German universities. It is offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and is ideal for those who do not have a direct university entrance qualification.
The programme provides subject- and language-specific preparation for studying in Germany, entirely online and before students enter the country.
What does VORsprung offer?
- Subject-specific preparation in maths and another STEM subject
- German language training including TestDaF preparation
- Online tutorials and accompanying support
- Preparation for TestAS and TestDaF
- Free participation
After successful completion, participants can fulfil the requirements for applying to German universities

Application period: 9 February 2026 to 30 June 2026
Start of intensive German course: August 2026
Start of regular programme: September 2026
