In addition to the traditional courses, the programme includes other exchange formats that bring together students from different disciplines and are intended to provide new impetus for critical debate on internationalisation and social responsibility. The programme includes an excursion to the European Parliament in Strasbourg, an event on the topic of economic warfare at the Friedrich Engels House and a workshop entitled "Philosophical telescopes. Two political cultures in the mirror of each other", with the aim of producing videos based on a comparison of the political cultures of France and Germany.

Teaching in the summer semester at a glance

Dr Jouin offers four seminars in German and French during the summer semester, which deal with central questions of social coexistence from a Franco-German perspective. The courses are open to students from various degree programmes. There are still places available in all courses. Please register via Studilöwe.

DAAD guest lectureships: Internationalisation in teaching

Guest lectureships organised by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) promote the international networking of German universities through the targeted use of foreign lecturers. The guest lectureship "Transnational Community Thinking (TraDeGe)" is based on the motto "Dare more France!", which promotes internationalisation at the School of Humanities. The project serves to consolidate existing degree programmes with a transnational focus - such as General and Comparative Literature or Applied Franco-German Studies: Culture, Economy and Sustainability. What all these degree programmes have in common is that they bring together students from the participating countries and prepare them for a professional or academic career in transnational contexts or for a teaching career.

With its teaching and transfer events, the guest lectureship aims to enrich the curricula of these degree programmes on the one hand and to bring together the year groups, which have numerous points of contact with each other, and on the other hand to reflect theoretically on the opportunities and problems of transnational communities and to analyse them using practical examples.
