Language teaching institute
University of Wuppertal presents good practice format for promoting German language skills among international students
From 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., speakers and participants will have the opportunity to get to know innovative and creative approaches in the field of language learning support - from AI-supported language learning and collaborations with start-ups to community-based peer-to-peer concepts with a socially integrative character. Britta Li and her team rely on blended learning formats to complement existing language courses, in addition to introductions to everyday life and study in the language of origin, in which study and career-relevant skills and abilities are taught and communication and cooperation between students are promoted. The additional knowledge imparted helps international students both during their academic career and when successfully entering the world of work.
The programme is supplemented by brief impulses from three perspectives - the labour market, the universities and international graduates. The aim of the event is to provide space for networking, exchange and inspiration and to jointly think of new ways of promoting language skills at universities.
