International Study Programs
The University of Wuppertal /Bergische Universität Wuppertal is committed to the international compatibility and orientation of degree programs and curricula, to international student mobility and to promoting the all-round linguistic competence of both staff and students.
It is increasingly important, both for the university of Wuppertal and its students, to integrate international aspects and periods of study into degree programs.
As well as obligatory or voluntary periods of study abroad, the University of Wuppertal programs include such international aspects as
- international or trans-European thematic focus
- degree awarded by the University of Wuppertal and a University (or several universities) abroad – e.g. Erasmus Mundus MA in European Philosophy
- degree program held in a language other than German – e.g. programs taught in English or French
The University of Wuppertal also offers a wide range of additional courses and programs providing international qualifications – e.g. the ‘Europa-Zertifikat” – as well as Intercultural training sessions and many internationally oriented courses within regular faculty degree programs.
For information on these offers see the list at the left. The website of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides information on international program offers throughout Germany.
For personal information and advice you are welcome to contact the Student Admission and Registration for International Students as well as departmental counselors.
