On 25 March 2021, the European Commission published the call for proposals for the new Erasmus+ programme.

Erasmus+ has a budget of 28 billion EUR and aims to facilitate even more individuals in their pursuit of learning, living and working in another European country. Additionally, it contributes to the Green Deal and digitalisation.

The central programmes are managed by the European Education and Culture  Executive Agency EACEA. These include capacity-building projects, Jean Monnet actions, and alliances for innovation. Decentralised programmes, such as the mobility of individuals or cooperation partnerships, are managed in Germany by one of the four national Erasmus+ agencies.

The four national agencies responsible for implementing Erasmus+ in Germany provide information on calls for proposals, events and developments:

The target groups of Erasmus+ calls for proposals in the field of higher education include students, universities, university staff, and also the respective non-academic partners. The objective of the higher education programmes is to foster collaboration with other social stakeholders (schools, companies, associations).

The research services team provides support for projects in particular

  • in the area of Key Action 2: Partnerships of organisations for cooperation and the promotion of innovation and best practice. This also encompasses, for instance, Cooperation Partnerships (strategic partnerships in the predecessor programme) and Jean Monnet Actions ( Higher Education Teaching and Research: Modules, Chairs, Centres of Excellence).

We provide guidance to researchers in cooperation with our colleagues at the BUW International Centre.

You can find a wide range of information on additional activities with corresponding priorities in Erasmus+ on the websites of the three other national agencies:
