The special attraction of the chocolate museum is the three-meter high chocolate fountain, where delicious delicacies are dipped into the liquid chocolate and distributed to the visitors.
A collection of objects related to chocolate in the light-flooded 4000 m² exhibition area, located directly on the Rhine in Cologne, provides information on everything that the visitor wants to know about chocolate.
A guided tour through the exhibition informs about the path of the cocoa bean from the plantations in the tropics to the finished chocolate and tells the entire history of chocolate, from its beginnings to the Maya and the Aztecs to the luxury drink of the aristocracy in the baroque era to an everyday treat for everyone.
The visit to the chocolate museum is followed by a city tour of Cologne city tour of Cologne.
