Best theses and doctorates wanted

The awards recognise outstanding scientific and artistic achievements by young researchers. Both particularly successful theses and excellent doctorates that make an innovative contribution to the respective subject area are honoured.
Applications are open to graduates and doctoral candidates from all disciplines who have completed their work since 1 January 2024.
The Academic Young Talent Prizes totalling up to 8,000 euros are sponsored by Stadtsparkasse Wuppertal, while the doctoral prizes totalling 17,500 euros are sponsored by the Gabriele and Thomas Meyer Foundation. The prizes are not only associated with attractive prize money, but also offer visibility within the academic community and beyond.
The exact conditions of participation, documents to be submitted and the application form can be found on the official website. The application deadline is 31 July 2025.
